Athens Believer is a newsmagazine that connects religious groups in Athens, Georgia. We seek participation from faith-based institutions to communicate what they are studying and the activities they are pursuing within their group and in the community at large. In addition, Athens Believer serves as a forum for groups to promote volunteer or service opportunities as well as worship opportunities for people in the Athens community. We also serve as a forum for homeschoolers and educational institutions to communicate their issues and ideas.
We strive to make Athens Believer a publication that encourages involvement. In addition to including rotating columnists from various religious groups and social service providers, a major feature of Athens Believer is inclusion of as many photos as possible showing the great work of religious groups and non-profits. We seek an open and constant dialogue. Athens Believer exists to serve people who are attending churches in Athens, who want to learn more about different religious organizations in Athens, and who want to get involved with a faith community.
